¢ BJORN A LYNNE
¹ or
¢ (DR AWESOME/CRUSADERS)
³Comments From the studio musician,
Andreas Stenhager:
¹
I was told that this guy had released
a CD and a good one too. I can
imagine! I have listened to quite a
few of this guy's songs and find them
very attractive. The samples may not
be very clear and some tunes get a
lower profile due to the lack of
leadinstruments, but when it comes to
the melody, he is the best of all
'musicians' involved on Amiga. He
knows what he is doing, what music is
all about. The feeling in some of his
tunes are very complex and I bet that
this guy could be big if he got the
right chances.
The drums generally keep a low
profile, with almost no solos or
fill-ins that often tend to fail. I
think he is aware of that. The bass
follows the chords/voices very good
and gives the melody an extra kick.
Sometimes, when the melody is not
present, he gives the bass some extra
melody which creates a more complex
sound. The accords are maybe a bit
simple in some songs, but they are
nice arranged in different samples
that often are good looped.
¶³Diesel comments:
¹I love 'Hobbits&Spaceships'; rumours
say that the follow-up is released and
if it's true I'll be the first to lay
my hands on it! Okay, talking about
his Amiga-career I must agree with
Andreas that his tunes are complex,
but I think that they sometimes aren't
as worked through as they could be.
He composes wonderful melodies, even
if he tends to make the songs too long
so that you find the melodies boring
in the end.
